The Macy Nappy

The Macy NappyI had twin girls on the way and received these beautiful 2 tier diaper cakes with shimmery pink organza ribbon and lovely yellow flowers. What a gorgeous and unique gift. I took photos of them in my nursery just so I could remember how pretty they were. I actually agonized when the babies came over disassembling them. I highly recommend these nappycakesbyshelli to anyone looking to impress their expecting friends and family.

Innobaby Nursin' Smart Type A Silicone Spoon Feeder + Bottle

Innobaby Nursin' Smart 5 Oz Bottle With Spoon Feeder - Type AAs a Lactation Peer Counselour, I am very happy to see this type of bottle with a spoon tip being advertised as a replacement for conventional bottles in order to avoid nipple confusion and preference. Believe me, even though some babies don't mind both nursing and taking a bottle (or at least don't mind it for a few months), MANY of them get weaned before they are even 4 months because of conventional nipples, and not because the mom's milk supply "magically" decreased for no reason.

Congratulations to this company!

My husband and I have spent a small fortune on bottles in an attempt to supplement our babe. She will not take a conventional bottle for love or money and syringe feeding gets tedious and garners plenty of negative attention when we're on the go. This bottle is so easy to use, even though the spoon tip is quite deep. It is flexible enough for the baby to slurp the milk right off. We've used this for a couple of months and are very pleased.

I breastfeed our six-month-old daughter. From the time she was a few weeks old, we made sure we bottle fed her at least once a day to get her used to drinking from a bottle, since we knew I was going to go back to work after 4 months. One day, though, she suddenly refused the bottle! We tried numerous different bottles but nothing worked. She would push the nipple out and any milk that came out would dribble from the sides of her mouth. She would absolutely refuse to swallow any milk, and pretty soon, would either start crying or fall asleep. After I returned to work, she would go the whole workday without drinking any milk. Our nanny started spoon feeding her, which worked a little, but that was a pain and it took forever. And then we discovered this bottle!!! It has a spoon instead of a nipple and the bottle is soft so that you can push it to squirt out some milk onto the spoon. What a lifesaver! Now our daughter is taking 8-10 ounces of milk a day still less than what I pump at work, but much better than the 1-2 ounces she was drinking from a spoon. It's too bad it's so expensive, but it's definitely worth it for us because it's the only thing that has worked.

I read the product describtion and after reading the review i was impressed and thought of giving this product a try as i did not want my newborn to get used to bottle and avoid nipple confusion.

I tried this bottle few times on my baby thinking that I was doing something wrong and hoping the next time maybe i will get it right and would be able to feed my baby without him getting agitated but all the times i ended up with a crying and unsatisfied baby.

Terrible product, waste of money...

gDiapers Little gPants 2-Pack Orange & Vanilla

gDiapers Little gPants 2-Pack Orange & Vanilla, MediumI love gDiapers! I tried them because they are the greenest option, and also found them to be very practical. Flushing the inserts is very easy, and though it's an extra step it's really not that much work, especially for all the benefits for the planet, and thus our children. That also means no diaper pail to empty.

Fitting them correctly takes a little practice, but once you get the hang of it there are no leaks. I recommend watching the videos on the gDipers website.

As for performance I get fewer leaks with these than with disposables. My water pressure is great so I can flush the inserts without swishing.

The only con is the price, since they are the most expensive diapers and they are not easy to find in stores. Of course the price is because of the materials they use and that they don't produce them by the billions like other brands. Hopefully as more people use them they'll become more affordable and available. Because of this I use cloth diapers at home and gDiapers when traveling or on long outings. Also the gDiapers covers (little g's) can be used as a cover for cloth diapers (using a cloth insert instead of the flushable insert).

A final recommendation: even though they have little g's in lots of colors and patterns on their website, it's cheaper to get several starter kits than to buy little g's separately, if you don't mind only sticking to the two colors that come in the starter kit.

We stumbled across these at a local discount warehouse for a really good price and bought the last three packages that were on the shelf. The refills are nice, but we mainly use the pants+liners with prefolded cloth diapers. The plastic liner holds the cloth in place and keeps wet diapers from leaking through to clothing. Ok at keeping poop in place too -if you make sure to change it promptly!

Pros:

* "Earth friendly" compostable/flushable inners if you use them this way.

* Works great with prefolded cloth diapers too.

* Lasts (almost) long enough through frequent washing for your kid to grow out of them.

Cons:

* Expensive, especially if you plan to use the disposable refills. May be worth the investment for the savings in regular disposable diapers, especially if you have to pay per-bag for your trash.

* Velcro closures break down over time with frequent washing; we have six (?) pairs and after six months of near-daily washing the velcro is almost useless. When baby starts crawling the velcro needs to hold a little better. We won't be able to "hand them down" unless someone wants to stitch on new velcro pads.

We abandoned disposable diapers in favor of cloth when our first child was about 6 months old, and I was *sure* we'd never go back. I'd looked at g-diapers when she was smaller, before we switched to cloth, but hadn't tried them. When our second child was about 5 months old, we planned a 6-day trip, and the idea of having to lug around dirty diapers and find time to do laundry while on vacation was overwhelming. A friend (who loved the product), suggested that I give them a try for the trip I did, and I LOVED them, I've never looked back. Aside from being eco-friendly, they're the most versatile diaper I've ever used. It's just as easy to use cloth inside as it is a flushable insert, they're adorable, fit wonderfully and are much trimmer than other cloth covers that I've tried. The company's customer service is stellar, and they really go the extra mile for their customers and stand behind their product. I think so highly of the product that it's not my default baby shower gift!

They have also sized the diapers to be long-lasting, my daughter is now 20 months, and has been in a medium since she was 5 months. I don't anticipate that she'll ever need a large, since she's mostly potty trained, but as a joke, we've tried them medium on her 3 1/2 year-old sister, and it's comfortable on her as well.

I was thrilled to find g diapers. I had used cloth in the past and disposable diapers in the past. Having a diaper that is both re-usable and disposable has been great for us. G diapers are easier to use than the cloth I had in the past, but as convenient as disposables. They are also cute. I have been composting our wet diapers vs. flushing and is has been going well. I have been recommending g diapers to my friends with new babies.

I love gdiapers. The only thing I have a problem with is that I did not know we had tree roots in our sewer system so we had a backup in our basement. We now use them only outside of the house and use cloth at home. We only have to wash the "gpant" every few uses but every time Ophelia poops we have to wash the liner. You can rinse it out and leave it so you can wash it when you get time and there is not a poop smell in the house.

Real Nappies Potty Training Pants, White

Real Nappies Potty Training Pants, White, Medium, for toddlers 31-40 lbOK. So, I love the company, I love their other products, and I wanted to love these. But, I don't. As noted in another review, these would have to be for a super skinny child. We bought the correct size for our kiddo's weight, and the leg holes were waaaaayy to small. We bought the next size up, and although they seemed at first like they'd work, with additional washings, those leg holes too became too small. My children are probably average in body size. They are not at all chunky. In fact, though the leg holes were too small, the waist was sort of too loose. Great, great concept, and I would have been thrilled had the fit been what we needed. I hate hate hate going through the pullups, and I also don't how they don't let a kiddo feel when they're wet. So, if this product could be made to work, I'd say go for it. They are not meant to be worn overnight, nor can they soak up a ton. But, you also won't be cleaning up pools of potty in various inconvenient locations. And your kiddo will be able to feel when they've had an accident and get experience some of the physical feedback of an accident, which can help in motivation. Perhaps if you were to be able to order the largest size it would work? And perhaps the company will adjust sizing a little. We also had a freak situation where the inside of the pants stuck to itself and wouldn't release and lay flat again. We've sent all ours back for a refund, and the customer service has been very courteous and helpful. If you can make it work, I'd give these a try.

We bought the birth-to-potty pack before our boy was born. He is our first and as you know a first time parent has NO IDEA what they need for the coming arrival. The birth-to-potty had everything we needed from the time we left the hospital to now. Great products, long lasting and good for the environment! 5 Stars!!!

Fleurville Sling Tote

Fleurville Sling Tote - Loveknots BlueI love this bag. Its easy to wipe down, I have even spilled milk inside it and clean up was quick. There are SEVERAL pockets. The wipe case does feels cheap but I did not even remember it coming with one when I ordered it. Has a nice padded strap, clips for the stroller, and a clip for your keys. It has everything I could have wanted, including tiny feet on the bottom to keep it from getting dirty when it gets set on the floor. I would recommend this to a first time mom. I have two kids and I wish I would have known about it with my first. I did not pay $119 for it but I think its worth it considering how many bags you will go through to find the right one.

Great bag, totally worth the money. I figure I'll be using it for quite a few years through a couple babies at least, so I might as well have something that lasts.

This diaper bag brand advertises itself as being focused on functionality for modern parents as if no other diaper bag company does that. I disagree their bag is all that functional. The straps are way too long. If you carry it in your hand not on your shoulder it touches the ground. And I'm tall. The rubbery straps on the stroller clips were a great idea because they grip to the stroller frame but one rubber strap snapped and broke already after light use for only 4 months. The bag is tall but not wide at the bottom so I can't fit as much as I'd like in it. All in all I'm glad I got this as a gift instead of purchasing it myself. I wouldn't recommend it to others. I'm now going to purchase the Skip Hop Studio bag for its larger size.

I recieved the bag and have contacted the company a couple of weeks ago regarding an O-ring that was missing. The company "Miss Fritzz" responded that they would contact Fluerville for a replacement. I am still waiting for a response from Fluerville. I followed up with a second email to Miss Fritzz and sent an email to Fluerville myself but no further response from either company. I rate the bag 4 stars for the design just that the bottle holders are a bit small to accomodate the wider ones. As far as customer service no stars since they have not responded yet after a couple of weeks.
