Fisher-Price SpaceSaver Swing and Seat

Fisher-Price SpaceSaver Swing and Seat, Luv U ZooI'm one of those horrible moms that lets her baby take every nap in the swing. :) we have the my little lamb cradle and swing (which i'm pretty sure was sent from heaven), but medical issues have caused us to have to spend lots of time at my parents house and our big swing was NOT going to go back and forth with us. So, we bought this little swing. I LOVE it. I was worried that some of the other swings wouldn't recline far enough and my baby wouldn't be able to fall asleep them, so I bought this one because I thought it looked like it would lay him back pretty far. He loves it and sometimes sleeps for 2 hours in it. (some of the other little swings i read about had timers that made them shut off after an hour...this would not be cool!) This one will go on forever :) He is 4 months and weighs 13 pounds and we use it on the lowest speed setting. I think it goes plenty fast, but of course I'm wanting him to sleep.

The only things I don't like:

-the little thing that hangs down is pretty much just a hunk of plastic in animal shapes. I'm pretty sure my baby looked up at it for about 2 seconds and though, "uhhhh....okay." worthless.

the songs (which I never use anyway) and sort of like what you would listen to at an outdoor luau or something. if you want something to shake maracas to, the songs are for you. if sleep is your goal, they won't help.

-it IS a bit hard. but of course we were used to the my little lamb swing which is pretty much like sleeping on an actual lamb or something. I folded up a receiving blanket to make a super flat (don't worry SIDS police) pillow for him and that seemed to do the trick.

Oh yes...and it was easy to put together. If I got the job done and my child wasn't injured in a swing related accident...you can do it. Or hey I don't know, maybe you can't, but it's worth a shot :)

happy swinging.

I have a small home so I did not have an option of getting a big swing. I registered for this and have been using it successfully with my little one for two months (I have not even had to change the batteries yet). Now that I have it, I cannot imagine having anything else (i.e., a large stationary swing and separate bouncer), regardless of my house size. One of the things that I love about this is that it is portable I can even move it around when my daughter is in it. I have moved it from the kitchen table, to the back deck, to my bedroom, to the living room....wherever I go in the house I can move it so that I can see her. The other great thing is that if she gets fussy when it's swinging, I can switch it immediately to vibrating. I can't imagine having to take a fussy baby out of it and move her to a different seat just to see if she wants the vibrations.

Some people have complained that the swing is too fast. If you just swing it without a baby in it, it seems fast, but once you put some weight in it it swings at a very nice setting. Other complaints were that it is too hard. I purchased a "snuzzler" Kiddopotamus Snuzzler Complete Head and Body Support, Ivory Terry which I move from the swing to the stroller, to the carseat. This too has been a lifesaver, since newborns are so small and cannot support themselves. However, now that my daughter is bigger she seems perfectly happy in the swing without it.

This is a product that I could not live without as a parent. I recommend this to everyone!!

Our three month old son has loved this swing since he came home from the hospital. He can work himself into a loud fuss that no food, rocking, diaper changes, temperature changes, etc. can calm, then quickly calm himself to sleep after being placed in the swing for a few short minutes.

In regards to the earlier review, our swing does vary significantly in speed and rate of swing from lowest to highest settings.

One note of caution: during assembly of the swing body, it is easy to over-tighten the screws. In an attempt to ensure that the seat was securely assembled, I tightened a screw completely thorough one of the interlocking plastic seat pieces.

We fully endorse the product.

I love almost everything about this swing. It does it all! No need for a bouncy and a swing. Plus very easily moved around the house from room to room.

This is a great swing! It is portable, light-weight, yet solid. The combination of music, swinging, and/or vibration is awesome. would buy this item again in a minute. Batteries last a long time.

Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers

Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers, Size 1, 100 CountI've spent thousands of dollars as a faithful Huggies customer and mom of four, but after getting the size 4 "new" Snug and Fit Huggies, I think I'll shop around... Even with frequent changing, my 18-month-old is soaking through to his pants -not around the edges, but through the diaper. When I change him, my hand gets damp from touching the outside of the diaper. Ick!

With the old Huggies, he was fine to sleep through the night, but with these he wakes in a puddle. Guess I'll have to start investing in overnight diapers...

Comparing the new diaper to an old (unused!) one I had in my car, they are significantly thinner, and the outer waterproof layer is thinner. They hold much less water, in a kitchen test.

I might as well just stick him in washable thick underwear, if I'm going to have to wash his pants every time I change a diaper anyway...

Ahh, the ultimate controversy. I feel like I've graduated from college to adult when the hot topic with my friends has changed from 'boxers vs briefs' to 'huggies vs pampers'.

We did stage our own version of the Pepsi Challenge, and purchased Huggies, Papers, Luvs and even some other random brand I found in our local grocery store. Huggies wins hands down. Luvs leaked all the time, and was even kind of scratchy. Pampers was nice and soft, but also leaked. For us, Huggies has never leaked. The elastic bands around the legs fit well, the diapers are soft enough to not bother my son. We've used Huggies from size NB up to 3 so far and have still preferred Huggies in each size range.

Within the Huggies line, I prefer the Ultra-trim (which I guess is being called something else now?) over the Huggies Supreme. The Supreme were extra padded and tended to bunch up. They didn't leak, but they just weren't as comfortable for my son's frenzied activity level.

As for fit, my son has always been small for his age (10th percentile in weight, 60th percentile in height), so I'm not sure if that makes any difference... maybe pampers works better for chunky kids? Which opens up another age old controversy "does size really matter"? But that's a conversation for another day.

We have been using the Huggies snug and dry for a while now, but this most recent box has been awful. I thought when we first got them I thought they felt different but I wasn't sure they really were until we started using them. Out and about my son soaked through his diaper and then pants which never happens for us. I figured we just waited too long. Then we opened up and found a bunch of the absorbent ball things on him. I was hoping it was just a rogue diaper. but he is leaking through occasionally now and had a blowout the next day. We are officially changing diaper brands and wanted to warn anyone else who is trying to decide.

I see I am not the only one with this issue with the new version.

We've been using Huggies Snug & Dry since my daughter was born in Aug 2010 and have always loved them. We've used Amazon's subscribe & save for about a year now and this past shipment provided us with Huggies Snug & Dry that are anything but. We've never had issues with urine leaking through her diapers, but since receiving the latest package of diapers we are discovering wet beds nearly every morning. If we're going to receive more cheaply made diapers then why are we paying the same price? Very disappointed, Huggies.

The reviews/ranking of these Huggies diapers at the time of this writing are somewhat misleading at first glance, as reviews of the diaper prior to the design change are taken into account in the overall rankings (note the ratio of good reviews to bad reviews before and after 2013). You'll see the most helpful review is from 2006! So please when looking over the reviews, I would suggest giving the most weight to those done since Spring of 2013 as those are actually reviews of the item that you are buying. Maybe Amazon can fix this with their review system, by purging/archiving the older and no longer relevant reviews that are for the old design?

Anyway, it appears that Huggies has decided to have it's 'New Coke' moment and mess with a good thing by redesigning it's diaper at some point in the Spring of 2013. These diapers, as claimed by Huggies, are now thinner but still just as absorbent, which does not appear to be the case for my family or a number of the other families that have posted their experience here since the change was made; they're definitely thinner, but no longer as absorbent based off of our experience. We had been happily continuing to buy Huggies for the past 20 months, despite the price difference compared to other brands. We have stuck with Huggies because it worked for us. However, now that Huggies has forced change on us (a change for the worse in our opinionyes Huggies rep: we will be in contact with you on your website), we are now in full experimentation mode and like other subscribers will be looking to other brands to get back the quality we were used to from Huggies. Unfortunately, at the time of this review we do not have an alternate suggestion for you. But if we find something that works for us, we'll update this review.

Fisher-Price Luv You Zoo 3-in-1 Playard

Fisher-Price Luv You Zoo 3-in-1 PlayardI absolutely LOVE this pack and play. The little cushion that goes inside is very thick (I have seen some that were so thin!). The changing table is handy and I like the bassinet part for my 2 month old. And, I like that it all goes in the bag. It makes it easy to move around! I havne't used the mobile at all and it didn't fit in the bag very well, that would be my only complaint, but it wasn't a big deal to me.

Luchador Bottle Openers Blue

Luchador Bottle Openers BlueI didn't, i was expecting to receive all three of them but again, it was my mistake. The one that i did receive was luckily one of the 2 that i wanted, it arrived on time and it works great! I love this bottle opener!

i loved the color (blue), and its a cool looking bottle opener however, the quiality is really cheap and it feels like it will crack and break apart at any moment. I wouldnt set it out at a party...i guess its for display only :(

Not the bottle opener I ordered, but got the correct color. Wasn't worth the price, kinda cheap looking. Not too pleased with the purchase

The bottle opener cracked on its second use :(. Very funny novelty but the thing is hallow and has plastic seams that want to break into two with any added pressure. Its terribly made. Save your money. I bought three as gifts and ended up apologizing as I heard all three had broken with a few uses.

Pampers Airwave Venting System, Stage 3, 9 Ounces, Clear, 3 Pack

Pampers Airwave Venting System, Stage 3, 9 Ounces, Clear, 3 PackThese bottles have been working for my son, but there is nothing special about them, you can get cheaper bottle that does the same thing (feed your baby). One major flaw is that the number was off real quick, we now have to estimate the ounces because there is no measurement on the bottle, they faded and eventually just was off(disappeared)after a few boiling for sterilisation.

I initially found the stage 1 bottles at a clearance rack at Babies R Us going nuts trying to find bottles that my picky little one liked and wallah! Love them! She is 5 months and I am ready to buy Stage 3. They are durable, easy to clean and the nipples offer great flow.
