Fisher-Price Luv U Zoo Snuggle Cub Soother Mobile

Fisher-Price Luv U Zoo Snuggle Cub Soother MobileMy 5-month-old son really enjoys looking at the animals on this mobile; they really seem to keep his attention. From time to time, he even seems to notice the motion on the soother. My little one, however, is not as discerning as I am.

I love the music selections and the available nature sounds; they are all quite pleasant. I am also pleased with size and colors on the plush animals that dangle from the mobile--I think they are very appealing to my son. Finally, I think the remote feature is very convenient.

However, there are a few features I would have like to have seen--especially at the, almost $60 original retail price. 1) This mobile seems to be made for a crib with high sides, you know, the ones that convert into a full-size bed later on. I have a traditional (non-convertible) crib, so the sides are lower and the mobile hangs a bit close to the mattress. 2) The music is a bit loud and can be distracting to my son when he's trying to fall asleep. The speaker seems to be internal, so I am not able to muffle the sound coming from the soother. 3) To that end, I would really liked to have had a feature that allows the mobile to run without music. 4) The packaging says you can have up to 20 minutes of movement and music. The instructions do not explain how to make the toy stay on for 20 minutes and I have yet to figure out the trick. 5) I would love to have seen some kind of lights on the soother; my son loves things that light up. 6) As I mentioned in #1, the mobile sits low on the rails. As a result, there have been nights when my son has been particularly squirmy in the crib and he has inadvertently kicked or hit the little birdie switch in his sleep. (I can not figure out how he managed to do this while swaddled!) One night, we were awakened 3 separate times because of this little convenience feature. I suppose alternate placement of that push-button would resolve the issue.

I have used about 5 different mobiles for my two sons, but this one seems to hold my baby's attention the longest. I really like the remote control for use across the room. It's a quality product that works well and is worth the money. It doesn't suck battery life like so many mobiles do, and the sounds are pleasing.

My son loves to watch his mobile. He loves to look at the animals on the mobile as well as the ones on the base of the mobile. The music is wonderful and the remote control feature is great! Not to mention it fits perfectly onto our crib which is a miracle because we hard a hard time finding a mobile that would attach right to our crib. This one did the trick because the attaching strip allows you to widen it.

First you get the fancy mobile that matches your nursery, and then you get the mobile that actually entertains your kid. At least that's what I did!

After tiring of our wind up mobile (that only lasted a few minutes at most) I wanted to splurge a little bit for a mobile that would last a little longer and keep my son's attention at bedtime. I already had the Luv U Zoo floor gym (which my son loves) so I figured I'd give the mobile a chance too.

There's a lot to like about this mobile... First off, it's not wind up. Press the red bird on the machine, or the remote, and it seems to run about 20 minutes. There are 3 music settings, and they are all fairly pleasant. I like the nature setting which has crickets, etc playing over very soft music. The other two settings have two different types of tunes (higher and low energy songs) which are nice too and preferred by my husband.

There's not much to write home about on the mobile itself, there are four simple stuffed animal cut-out things... it would have been better if there were the actual animals rather than flat depictions. On top of that, the animals are hung vertically... so you can see what they are if you're looking at it from the side. But from the angle of the baby, looking up from the bottom, all you see is the flat bottom of each one... they all look the same and not terribly interesting. My son watches it, but it doesn't keep his attention for long.

I think it I were to buy a mobile again, I'd take a harder look at the ones that have some more interest--like objects that are full and colorful, and hung from an angle where the baby can see. I would also look at those ones with projection, which seem like they'd be great in a darkened room (when it would be harder to see just the regular mobile).

All that said, this is a solid mobile with cute colors and appealing music. I'm sure we'll continue to use it for the music after we have to take the mobile portion off (that can be removed when baby is older, so you can just do the sounds).

pros:

-Remote control save your steps to go over the crib to turn it on or off, and avoid to disturb the sleeping little one.

-The animals on the mobile are colorful and cute, made from soft fabrics.

-The hanging part can be removed when the baby grows older.

-The lions on the music box part can rotate too, my baby loves to watch them moving as well ass the top turning mobile.

cons:

my first one stopped any movement after about 3 weeks use. Good thing is Amazon gave me full refund after I returned it, and my second order works perfectly so far.

OXO Tot Perfect Pull Wipes Dispenser

OXO Perfect Pull Wipes Dispenser, GreenI read another review for this product that says it does not work with cloth wipes. I think the review was under the green color dispenser. I just wanted to share my experience because I am using cloth wipes and I was not sure what to use as a container. I debated just buying a wipes warmer, but I wanted something portable that does not require electricity, and I did not feel that my wipes needed to be warm. You can always warm them in your hands for a few seconds before using them if it's an issue.

The other review stated that you cannot use the weight with cloth because it's too light, and folding them into the "accordion style" did not work for dispensing just one wipe at a time. I fold the wipes by laying them flat and then folding both sides inward so they meet in the middle. First I wet all the wipes with wipe solution by laying them flat inside a square dish. I pour a little bit of the solution into the bottom of the container, add wipes, and then slowly add more solution and more wipes in a "lasagna" fashion, careful to dampen all wipes. Any extra solution I can squeeze out and use again later or in my on-the-go squirt bottle. Once the wipes are wet, I fold them all and put them into the dispenser, seam side up. When you place the weight inside, you should see the two edges through the hole. If you do it this way, you can pull one wipe out at a time.

I was also not sure which types of wipes would fit in this dispenser and how many it would hold. I have three kinds of wipes: Cotton Babies flannel wipes and two styles from Green Mountain Diapers, two-sided terry and thin flannel. The thin flannel work best in this dispenser. If you fold them in half or in the try-fold style I mentioned above, you can fit around 30-36 wipes in the container. The two-sided terry will work, but less will fit and they don't fit perfectly. They are thicker and only about 12 of them fit at a time. This might not be a problem for an older baby, but for a newborn, 12 wipes will likely not last you much longer than a day, maybe not even that. I don't see it being worth the time to mix up wipe solution every day just so you can store the wipes in here. I bought more thin flannel wipes to use with the dispenser because of this issue.

This dispenser is smaller than I thought, smaller than a Huggies or Pampers box in my opinion, but it is nicer. The seal is superior and it will not crack as easily, if at all. I see it easily lasting through one or two kids. Overall I like it, and while it's definitely not a must-have item, it is a nice-to-have item and is more useful than a wipes warmer, which could break after a few months or scorch your wipes. I understand that it was designed with disposable wipes in mind, and to hold the pack size of 100 wipes, but it could be a little bigger. Overall a decent solution to storing cloth wipes.

Being new parents, my wife and I over bought in the stuff we needed, probably like most new parents. We really weren't sure what we were going to like or sure what the baby was going to like. However, this product by far is one of best purchases we made. We liked the first dispenser so much we got a second so that we could have one in her room and one by the pack and play.

The first night home with our baby girl we tried to open up the Kirkland (Costco) wipes package with its built in door to pull out wipes and quickly were frustrated with how cheap and hard to open the packaging was. We then remembered we had purchased this OXO Perfect Pull Wipes Dispenser, Green and I quickly cut the package open, dropped them into the dispenser and BAM!!! Our stress level dropped immediately. It has made grabbing wipes super easy ever since. I can even change a diaper in the dark because its so easy to open the container and the container makes no noise (very faint click) when opening.

I cannot recommend the product enough, it was well worth it!!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I wish that I would have had this a long time ago! I have been re-using the box that comes with the wipes for years and had the opprotunity to try this one. I was not dissapointed! On capacity, holds almost 2 packs of wipes, which is more than the other boxes. I really liked that there is a weight that holds down the wipes so that you are only getting one each time. I know that in the past I usually pull out more than I need, which the weight helps with. I really like that there is a little window in the side so that you can see how many wipes you have left...I can't tell you how many times I needed wipes and pulled out the last one not knowing it. It is truly a one hand operation which is great when I have to keep one hand on my squirmy little one. Solid construction that will make it last a long time! Would recommend for anyone with kids in diapers!

Love this product, but hate that my wipes dry out because the latch doesn't stay shut. I bought this product just 2-3 weeks ago and it's already not working properly.

This dispenser is seriously good. My wife and I got tired of the cheap, junky wipes dispensers that come free with most baby wipes. I have a ton of OXO products in my kitchen already and love their practical design. This dispenser delivers exactly as you'd expect from an OXO product. The gasket seals the wipes well and keeps them moist longer than the cheap, free dispensers. It can be easily operated with one hand, the lid opens and closes with a slight press. The dispenser has some heft, so you won't be moving it around just by pulling wipes out. The weighted piece in the middle keeps a wipe popped up like a kleenex and ready to grab without snagging a couple.

I couldn't be happier with the product. We are using it with Pampers Sensitive wipes and it works flawlessly. The window on the front isn't really important since we're opening it so often, I notice when the stock is low. Another thing to note is that the dispenser is mostly white the color selection only changes the color of the gasket and weighted piece.
