Luvs Premium Stretch Diapers with Ultra Leakguards

Luvs With Ultra Leakguards Size 4 Diapers 180 Count Luvs are the cheapest diapers I have found thus far, and I have researched prices quite a bit. It is very important to me to save as much money as I can on diapers because they are a constant expense. We thought we were getting the cheapest diapers by purchasing the store brand (Kirkland Signature Supreme Baby Diapers (Size 3, Quantity 208)) at Costco. However, Amazon beats all store brands in price as long as you take advantage of Subscribe & Save. (We still use the Costco brand wipes, which are fantastic and economical: Kirkland Premium Baby Wipes 900 Count)

Not only are Luvs the least expensive diapers I have come across, they are great quality. The thing I like about them the most is that they are very thin, especially when compared to the Kirkland diapers. They allow my baby to move freely and he does not feel so bulky. The stretchy sides are also well-constructed; they provide enough give while still having a snug fit. We have never had a leak in Luvs diapers, and we have gone through two 200+ boxes of them by now. My baby sleeps 12+ hours overnight and we have never had an accident.

One feature of Luvs worth noting; they have a powder-like scent. When I first got them I was hesitant about the smell, but I quickly got used to it. The scent is strongest when you first open the plastic package of diapers. It will dissipate a bit if you remove them from the plastic packaging and let them air out in a diaper stacker or in your changing table.

Luvs are fantastic because you can get an inexpensive diaper without sacrificing quality.

I have tried pretty much every diaper under the sun, to include; Pamper's baby dry, swaddlers & cruisers, Huggies snug n dry & supreme, Target brand, and white cloud. I have found that Luvs are my favorite. I really liked the cruisers, but for some reason they gave my son a rash. Luvs were the last type of diaper I tried and I'm so sorry it took me so long to give them a shot! They're similar to Pamper's cruisers onl without the mesh lining and high price tag! This is why I LUV 'em:

1. They're thin, yet very absorbant.

2. They're really soft and have a powdery fresh scent.

3. The elastic keeps messes in, but doesn't irritate baby's legs.

4. The "bear hug stretch" is super stretchy-similar to Cruiser's.

5. Most of all, I love that they cost about 20 cents a diaper compared to the 25 cents that Pamper's cruiser's cost per diaper.

I have tried so many different diapers, trying to find the perfect combination of quality and price. We're going to be having our third baby, so cost is an issue! And I just don't have the time or commitment for cloth (sorry mother nature!!). When I came across these I just had to try them out. With the Amazon Mom program I get free 2-day shipping. And when I signed up for the auto-delivery service I get 30% off the price! Breaks down to about 16.5 cents per diaper. That's cheaper than Target brand! So here's my summary of diapers and why I'm sticking with these Luvs (price per diaper varies with size and retailer, but these are estimates):

Pampers: Awesome. Best quality for sure. But WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. About 25 cents per diaper. I have used these for my two newborns because you can't beat the Swaddlers. They are the smallest and best fitting for newborns. And I'll use them again. It's only for a few weeks anyway. But once I hit size 1 I have to switch brands.

Huggies: OK. Leak sometimes. UGLY design. Kinda stiff. Not cheap enough in price to make the poorer quality worth it. Even the huge Costco box cost more per diaper than Target brand. About 22 cents per diaper from Costco.

Target: Very good. Kinda stiff, but softer than Huggies. Almost never leak. Not as great as Pampers, but much much cheaper and good enough quality. The white trim at the edges is big and hangs out under a onesie not cute. My brand of choice until I discovered Luvs online. Roughly 19 cents per diaper after tax.

Walmart: (White Cloud) Horrible quality, leaky constantly, stiff, ugly. Just plain awful and more expensive than Target's at 20 cents per diaper. UPDATE: These have apparently been discontinued as of March 2009. And Parent's Choice is the Walmart brand now. Parent's Choice is made by the same company, but even the manufacturer admits they're of lower quality, per an article on Cafe Mom.

Luvs: Always curious to try, but Target brand was working for me and Luvs were a little more expensive. After trying so many brands, I was done experimenting. Then I discovered the Amazon Mom program which actually made them cheaper. Plus, they're shipped directly to me, which is very convenient. Since they have a money-back guarantee I gave them a shot. YAY! They're very soft, similar to Pampers. Much trimmer, so you don't have so much hanging out under the onsie as with Target brand. I'm not a huge fan of the Blue's Clues design, but it's cute and unisex and hidden by clothes most of the time anyway. They rarely leak. I currently use Pampers Overnights at night for my second baby, but he pees an outrageous amount. I used Target brand at night for my first baby with few problems. So I'm sure Luvs are fine for most babies at night time. They are more absorbent than Target, and I would say as absorbent as Pampers. Really, they're almost identical to Pampers for almost two-thirds the price.

Bottom line is these are a great buy and I highly recommend them! But as different diapers work for different sized kids, I should say that though I had one thin baby and one chubby baby, both my kids are rather narrow at the waist with little butts. So if you have a Michelin baby or one with a very wide waist, I can't say they'll work as well for you. Seems like some people have an issue with these diapers for their wider babies.

UPDATE: Amazon Mom no longer does free 2-day shipping. It's standard now and takes about a week. Still get 30% off though if you sign up for the auto delivery. I set my auto-delivery to 6 months and just have them shipped as needed, or cancel when my kids grow to the next size. Be sure to order with plenty of time for delivery though.

I am very disappointed in the price hike on the luvs diapers. They are identical to the diapers they had before, other than 18 more in the package. I can understand an increase in price since there are more diapers in the package, but its a big increase. Here are some round about figures to get an idea: These numbers are based on the size 5 pack.

The old pricing was: $35.05 before S&S and after was $24.53 and you got free 2 day prime shipping for 150 count box

The new pricing is: $42.99 before S&S and after is $30.09 and free 3-5 day shipping for a 168 count box. (you can get free 2 day if you drop one of the 15% discounts)

To sum it all up, that is an increase of 23% before S&S and 20% increase after S&S for only an 8% increase in diapers received.

I can go to the store now and buy them on sale with coupons at about the same price, if not better. I stopped looking at diaper deals in store because the deal was so good on here, but with the new pricing on the same product, I will be looking at the store ads again. I think luvs is a great product, but disappointed in the price. And no more amazon diaper codes either. Hmmmmm....

I have used Luvs for 2 years with my sons. We used to "luv" them. Now about half of the tabs are breaking off while my kids are wearing them, causing wet clothes and a big mess! Plus, occasionally they are splitting open, spilling the absorbent gel crystals everywhere. The tab problem has happened with two separate sizes, so it's very disappointing! Both of my kids had wet beds this morning because of the tabs breaking!

Seventh Generation Chlorine Free Baby Diapers, Stage 4 (22-37 Lbs.), 30 Count (Pack of 4)

Seventh Generation Chlorine Free Baby Diapers, Stage 4, 30 Countnot much of a price difference between these 7th generation diapers and pampers or huggies, but much of a quality difference. we've had very little diaper rash only very early on and there was no gel reside like there was with the pampers we tried. excellent product.

First, I'd like to point out that I always used Seventh Generation diapers and wipes for over 4 years (first with my daughter and then with my twins). A few months back I noticed the diapers were no longer retaining the liquid as they usually did, and thinking it might have been a problem with sizing and/or fitting, I gave Earth's Best diapers a go. Given how well these worked, I stuck to these for a few months via Amazon. Just last week I decided to change back to Seventh Generation for a cost reason (they are slight cheaper). BIG MISTAKE!! After using just 4 diapers of the pack on the twins, I quickly came to the conclusion that the company must have changed something on the diaper that's clearly compromising its quality. The diapers completely came undone both times on both babies (hence, not a coincidence) and I woke up to find very unhappy and very messy babies. Not good. Just stopped my subscription and will never go back to it. Bye Bye, Seventh Generation. Earth's Best diapers and wipes take the win who cares about the few dollars' difference!?

These diapers are great. My son rarely gets diaper rash using these diapers whereas with other name brands like Huggies or Pampers he gets diaper rash. The diapers tend to fit on the small side even for my son who is long but skinny, so it's better to move up to the next size early to prevent leaks. I only gave 4* because of this issue and because they're more expensive than other brands.

I use these diapers when my baby isn't in his BumGenius cloth diapers. Knowing that they are made in a way that has less of an impact on the environment makes me feel better about using disposables. It's also reassuring to know that I won't have to worry about my little guy getting chemical burns or the company denying fault in it *cough*pampers*cough. They are wonderfully absorbent and don't leak.

My daughter always ends up with a rash when we use other disposable diapers. The Seventh Generation diapers are gentle. I like that they don't have obnoxious designs all over them too. Amazon's price can't be beat, especially with Subscribe & Save.

Pampers Underjams Girl Diapers Big Pack Size S/M 46 Count

Pampers Underjams Girl Diapers Big Pack Size S/M 46 CountDealing with nighttime wetting problems is made a whole lot easier with Pamper Underjams. I have a 5 year old who still wets the bed at night. She puts on the Underjams by herself, they go on like underwear, are very quiet and it's not very noticeable when dry. When it gets wet, however, it bulges out somewhat. So far, we've only had one or two problems with leaking, as opposed to most of the time when I used Huggies Pull Ups. They are priced very competitively on Amazon, especially with Amazon Mom and Subscribe and Save. Recently the diaper count went down by 4, from 50 to 46, and the price stayed the same, which is slightly upsetting. Overall, though, it is a great product and decent price.

I've compared prices and quality of several of the overnight pull ups and always go back to the Underjams as being the best value and quality for the money. We used Huggies overnight diapers consistently until I felt that my daughter needed to move into a pull up. The traditional pull ups, even the overnight ones, were so thin and inadequate for my heavy wetting child, not nearly as absorbent as the Huggies Overnights. I finally tried the Underjams and was very pleased. A huge bonus for me is that they are cute enough to interest my little girl, but don't have all the tacky princessy decorations that many of the other pull ups have. Don't know why they have those, I would pay more simply to avoid that. Luckily with the Underjams I don't have to. When you compare the quality, the Underjams also feel very nice, thick and absorbent. Good value and product!

We have tried every brand of pullup type diapers for our 5 year old. Although we restrict fluids in the evenings and get her to use the bathroom before going to bed, she still goes enough at night, she leaks through every other diaper available. I found these at a local store, and the changing sheets in the middle of the night routine has all but stopped. We have been very happy with this product. It's easy for her to put on alone and makes less noise than similar products. UnderJams also have less of a urine smell the next morning than competitor product. I have a hard time finding UnderJams at local stores so Amazon is a great alternative to driving to the other side of town.

My almost-5-year-old is perfect during the day with using the bathroom but she sleeps so soundly at night that she often doesn't wake up to use the toilet and hence needs the night-time protection. One thing that is especially good (and interesting) about Underjams: Over Christmas, I bought a similar product from K-Mart, their house brand, because I mistakenly thought they were cheaper. For some reason, when my daughter wears the Underjams, she more often remembers to use the bathroom at night. With the K-Mart product, she almost never remembers. I don't know what the difference is, perhaps, except the fit. The K-Mart product is bigger and a little more comfortable. But both to encourage night-time toilet use and also to save money, we are coming back to the Underjams. Plus, she really likes the Underjams styling, with the print designs.

While I am disappointed this item is now packaged with fewer pull-ups, I still think this is a fantastic product. Amazon has the best pice of any pull-ups I could find for my daughter, including generic dollar store ones and Wal-Mart. Since switching to these, my daughter has not wet thru once. They also are quieter when she wears them. Great product!

Paren't Choice Baby Diapers (Economy Box)

Paren't Choice Baby Diapers Box for babies 22-37 lbs.)I have a two month old son, and these work great for him! I love the wetness indicator and the fact that they are super friendly on the wallet too. I have heard that some babies are allergic to these, so I recommend buying a smaller package at Wal-Mart prior to investing in an economy size pack.

These really do hold in quite a bit, and I personnaly prefer these to Pampers and Luvs. I do like Huggies, but these are just so much cheaper, and they get the job done : )

I have three children I have used this brand of diaper for all of them at all stages and they have leaked the least of any brand. When you have your first you get a bunch of diapers from people at your baby shower, this allowed for me to try many brands. I found that for my kids two brands leaked hardly ever...Huggies and Parent's Choice. Given the price difference, we buy Parent's Choice. They even have overnights now that work as good as Huggies. In fact I was buying overnight pull-ups for my 4 year old son who is a heavy sleeper and they were leaking almost every-night. Then I tried parent's choice and they don't leak! I know some factors have to be your child's body type because the reviews are so various on diapers...these are worth trying so you can find out if they work as good for you as they do for me!

They leak everywhere on my daughter. I tried a sample that I was given and they did not work. They weren't as absorbent as Huggies and were too loose in the legs on my skinny girl, causing urine to come out of the sides as soon as she peed.

I received a pack of these at my baby shower and when I ran out of diapers one night I was forced to use them. They were horrifically cheap and a really bad design fit wise. There were gaps between the diaper and my son's thighs, the diaper sagged when it was hardly wet, and when I changed my son he would be soaked in urine because the absorbancy was so bad. I used maybe 5 diaper when he was playing at home just to use them up and then got rid of the rest, I didn't like the quality and he started getting a rash.

Pampers Kandoo Flushable Wipes, Magic Melon Scent, 100 Count Refills (Pack of 6)

Pampers Kandoo Flushable Wipes, Magic Melon Scent, 100 Count RefillsI'm a huge fan of flushable wipes, not only for the kids, but I like feeling clean too. I know a lot of people do not like the scents, but I'm a fan of the melon scented ones. We started using flushable wipes many years ago when my son was potty training, but soon I found myself using them myself (especially during my period when using pads). These are incredibly soft and we've never had any issues with the toilet backing up. The dispenser is easy to refill and keeps the wipes from drying out (we've had issues with other pop-up dispensers).

These are great! They have allowed my four year old more bathroom independence and privacy, and work well enough for me to not worry about him leaving a mess. While they probably don't work any better or have any advantage over adult cleansing wipes, my son does like the frog character -and as long as these are the ones he'll use, they are the ones we'll keep buying. Although the scent is nice, I do wish they made unscented...but we'll take what we can get!

I've been using Kandoos for several years now.We use them for my nieces and nephews and since I had surgery. They are perfect for all ages and love that they are flushable. I tried different brands, since Kandoos are no longer sold in my area, and they don't even begin to compare to the high quality of Kandoos. Kandoos are the best.
