I have been using these with my son for a few weeks and find them helpful but not great. We have always potty trained with underwear and done great. My 4th child, well he's the one who broke the mold! We weren't doing so well so I, for the first time, decided to try pull ups. I bought 3T/4T which says for 33-40 pounds. My son is 35 pounds and they are a bit small so maybe size up.Pros:
He likes them because they look like underwear and isn't so bothered by being put back in "diapers"
They don't come apart when he pulls them up.
Cute design
He likes the picture that fades when wet. I'm not sure if he likes to see it go away so he pees on them or if he likes to keep the picture in tact.
Cons:
Leave a lot of the gel stuff on him when they are wet and he's in them for any amount of time. The chemicals in that stuff are a concern for me.
Leak overnight even with just a bit of pee in them.
Leave marks on his skin around the legs
run small.
I'm going to try a size up to see if that resolves the chaffing problem and the overnight leaking. I'll update after. I'm also going to try some Easy UPs to see if there is a difference. I'm hoping to only use any of them for another month or two.
Good luck in the PT process!

These are great, easy to pull on and pull down, and they hold out overnight wonderfully. My big problem with it is while you hope your little one stays dry, it may be a while before they're able to. At the end of the day, you buy pull ups because the little one is not quite ready to go in underwear. Especially in the beginning, you will need to discard most pull-ups. And with my little one who does great with potty training one week, and could care less the next, they're treated more like diapers than underwear most of the time. When we first started using them, there were two velcro-like connections, one on the seam which faced outward and a pull-tab just like the diapers that faced inward. This pull-tab was great for wrapping up the dirty pull-up in a neat stinky package before tossing. The newest shipment of pull-ups was lacking these tabs, and it's been a PAIN to wrap up the pull-ups, especially poopy ones! I've also noticed the pull-tab gave the seam a bit more stability when pulling onto the little one, the seam gives a bit at the top now, which it didn't before. I really hope they bring back the pull-tab, because otherwise they're great! We have purchased these in my daughter's actual size, 2-3T, which we found to be too snug for my daughter to quickly pull up and down during her potty-training. The size 3-4T seems to fit her much better. She is built like a string bean & these fit her like a pair of underwear would fit her. I really like that they have tabs on the sides, especially for those unfortunate times that she has soiled in her pull-up instead of making it to the potty. It's so much easier to change them versus pulling down a soiled pull-up and making a bigger mess along the way.
