I LOVE THEM!!!!! :)I just had to buy this when I read the review that said they didn't like scents but the person hadn't actually tried it. I bought it and immediately could smell a very light scent of green tea. It was pleasant.
I love Huggies wipes because they don't fall apart when you need them to be strong. My wife and I have tried various brands of baby wipes over the past 2 years or so (we've sometimes received other brands of wipes as gifts but we always have stuck with Huggies). After several months (about the 7th/8th month) into our baby daughter's new life, we finally settled on our 'steady/go-to' choice of Baby Wipes: Huggies brand.
So... for the past 2 years, we've bought and recommended Huggies brand wipes to anyone who'll listen. To us, the thickness and sturdiness of the wipe is the first thing we 'required' of our go-to wipe. Secondly, the scent of the wipe is important to us, and lastly, we asked ourselves: does the quality = the price paid? Huggies wipes have met and exceeded all of these requirements. Edit: Let me override the above statement: our Baby's comfort trumps all of the above, of course! We've had no problems from day one w/our Baby's comfort/discomfort level regarding Huggies wipes (or Diapers, for that matter). There have been a couple of brands that seem to have irritated her skin. For what it's worth, we try to maintain an 'unscented' household, at least until the children have grown into small toddlers. But this is one of those items that is somewhat required to be scented, at least a little, given the 'job' that it is most likely being used for. :-)
We (I) had planned on writing a review of these outstanding/outperforming wipes for quite some time, but I finally got around to it when we bought this 'new' scent of Huggies wipes from one of the large membership warehouses. We were able to use manufacturer coupons to make the price even lower (we wish Amazon was able to accept manufacturer coupons, fyi). Given the current economy, we are watching every penny, but keep in mind: it's not always the amount you pay... sometimes it's what you get in relation to the money spent that really matters most. In other words, when it comes to our daughter's comfort, spending a little more (especially in regards to these baby wipes) on her is quite an easy decision.
We were able to buy the 1000 count pack (which also includes a 'travel box' that can be refilled. It holds about 15-25 wipes or so. I think the biggest reason I wanted to write this review is this: these things SMELL AWESOME! My cute little daughter... as super duper cute as she is... well, let's just say she has had her fair share of 'room clearing' poopies. :-) But these wipes REALLY help neutralize these 'stinky' ones that happen once in awhile (and all those in-between, too).
We still have a couple of different scents of other Huggies wipes that we have in our wipes/diapers 'inventory' (we seem to always receive wipes and/or diapers at Christmas, etc. from friends/relatives). We just use these 'non-Naturally Refreshing wipes' as 'clean-up' wipes (for face, hands, feet, etc). Once those wipes are depleted, we won't 'actively' purchase those anymore. We will ONLY be buying these wipes, going forward. We honestly think that, for the money spent, you can't find a better all around effective baby wipe. Yes, you'll always find cheaper 'store brand' baby wipes from the big store discounters and verious drug stores... but if you watch the sales and be diligent about finding coupons, you'll be surpised at how the difference in price is not that far... but the differnce in quality is huge!
For what it's worth, the only wipe that really compares to Huggies is their other only 'real' competitor, Pampers. But almost as much as we *love* the scent of these wipes, we almost *hate* the Pampers wipe (and diaper) scent just as much. That debate will always exist, but Pampers' scent (and yes, it's been around for years) is just 'old school' and not very appealing, ESPECIALLY when there are better options available. And yes, I do know that Pampers has their array of scents (as well, as their supposed 'unscented' type) too, but again, nothing compares to Huggies wipes, especially these cucumber scented Naturally Refreshing wipes.
Some 'technical' details: These wipes are REFILLS no hard plastic tubs are included, however the refill packages can be used directly from their packages as the bags can be sealed/re-sealed (via a 'Ziplock'-type opening) but I would highly recommend using these as actual wipe refills for Huggies brand wipe tubs they fit perfectly and work well as 'a constant feed' from the tub (these single wipes are folded, of course, but are attached in one long sheet but they are perforated kinda like a 'flattened' roll of paper towels). As I'm sure you know, these wipes that are sold as refills are generally used as refills to be used in 'wipe tubs'. The wipes are basically 'measured' and placed in a tub, while 'feeding' the leading (first) wipe up through the hole in the tub. The wipes are then taken from the Huggies tub's 'top exit-way' that features a 'rubber gasket' that 'grabs' the wipes as you pull on the 'stack'. The 'rubber gasket' is supposed to assist in allowing single wipes to be taken out of the tub easily. Most manufacturers feature this type of 'output', but some work better than others. Huggies tubs work great for us and have always worked great both with the actual tubs and subsequent refills.
Bottom line: These aren't the cheapest wipes on the market, but certainly aren't the most expensive. Read the reviews here and elsewhere to make an informed decision. If you don't like the scent (as a small % of folks have stated and should be expected), try one of the other scents (or unscented) Huggies wipes you won't be sorry. The quality is there and the price is reasonable (especially when bought on sale w/a coupon or two). If your baby 'likes' them, it's a no-brainer.
These are the thickest, sweetest smelling, and sturdiest wipes on the market. BUY THEM!
PS Even when our children have finally made it out of diapers in the coming few years, I suspect we'll always keep these around the house to replace our old 'sanitary hand wipes', fyi. Just like orange juice isn't just for breakfast anymore (remember that commercial, all you 'old folks'?), baby wipes aren't just for babies anymore, either. :-)These are by far the best wipes I have ever tried, and I think I've tried almost every brand and type. The scent is the very best part -it doesn't smell like a diaper wipe, but has a very refreshing and clean smell. They are also very strong and work well to clean the worst dirty bottoms as well as stickiness from face and hands. We were considering these wipes until we found that some of the ingredients are considered to cause allergies and other health problems. The product title is somewhat misleading "naturally refreshing" has nothing to do with natural ingredients. Buyer beware!
