Similac Advance Early Shield, Formula, Powder, 23.2-Ounces (Pack of 6)

Every baby is different, but for us, Similac is a much better fit than Enfamil. Babies are gassy and formula will give them gas, but there is no blood curdling screaming or writhing in pain with Similac like there was with Enfamil.

I bought this 6 pack for 122.99, and was a good value with prime shipping. This is cheaper than Walmart or Target stores. But recently found Costco is offering a bigger sized individual cans at even better price (81 cents per ounce).

The product is fine but

I was disappointed with the shipment

I ordered six containers of this product & I was shipped about 16 of the sample tins

the formula amount was the same the packaging is annoying

if I order the six containers I expect to receive the same packaging

as what I ordered not sample sizes. These sample size containers are not for resale either

I don't think I will order from amazon for this product again

I had b/g twins and the boy was great at breastfeeding but I had to pump for the girl. She was miserable all the time and cried 24/7. I put her straight on Alimentum (made by Abbott, the makers of Similac) and she did great on Alimentum for 3 months. I wanted to get her onto a regular formula, due to the extremely processed and broken down "hydrolyzed" proteins in Alimentum (creates MSG, look it up). So I changed over to an organic formula that I love and the child was constipated!!! Then I opened up my sample can of Similac Advance and she did beautifully. No constipation, and no more colic. If I try to give her the "generic" form of Similac she gets constipated, Enfamil makes her constipated, and so does Similac Organic, so we have stuck with the blue lid Similac advance.

My breast milk wasn't coming in while we were still in the hospital so my baby came home on this formula until my milk came in. It was easy for him to digest and he thrived on it. He lost a lot of weight in the hospital because my milk wasn't coming in. Being on this formula for a little over a day made him gain enough weight that the pediatrician felt comfortable discharging him to go home.

Now my milk came in but my baby won't breast feed from being bottle fed for so long. After pumping for 3 1/2 months and trying to take care of a developmentally delayed 3 year old with no one to help me I am giving up pumping and my baby will be formula fed again. Needless to say I will be using this formula again since I know it was easy for him to digest and he thrived on it. I highly recommend this product.

edited 8/29/09: When I wrote the comment "good price" the seller on this link was amazon.com and the price was $. It's still excellent formula but with a coupon it's probably cheaper to get from your local store. We also tend to find lots of sales at local stores.

Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers, Size 2, 100 Count

I started using this product because my baby has such sensitive skin, he gets a rash from everything. My peditician told me to use huggies because they have the least amount of chemicals and dyes that can be irratating to a sensitive babies skin. I have used them for past few months and he hasn't had any problems. I would recommend!

These diapers are great, I rated them a 4 because they didn't seem to have quite the same quality as the Little Snugglers, but overall they did exactly what they were designed to do.

Love Huggies diapers, but wish that they would have packaged the diapers in 2 separate packages instead of all 100 in the same plastic.

These diapers are like paper. The material is so hard and rough compared to others I feel terrible putting it on my child's rump. On top of being so papery, they have leaked every time I used them. I though huggies was a good diaper brand... oh how wrong I was and now I have 400 diapers in the trash to show for it!!

Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive Diapers Jumbo Pack, 30ct (Pack of 4)

Be forewarned that the price on these diapers is in fact too good to be true. It consists of just one package of 30 diapers, not "4x30" as posted.

Pampers Swaddlers are the most reliable diapers ever. We use them for our 5mo old and 17mo old. We wouldn't use any other diaper, and we've tried a few.

Pampers Thickcare Wipes, Bulk Pack, Touch of Chamomile 360 Ea

The Pampers Thick Care wipes are exceptional and I refuse to use any others. Each pack is made with a hard plastic cover that makes one wipe dispensing easy. it also eliminates the need for the bulky hard plastic cases...I had several around the house. I attempted to buy other Thick Care wipes but they had the flimsy plastic film, not the hard plastic top, which easily rips after several uses. I am not sure why Pampers chose to do that. I originally had this item subscribed by it was cancelled and the price was raised about a dollar. BabiesRUs sells them online but not by the case. Right now I cannot find a better deal online. Maybe I will have better luck when I move back to the US but until then. I recommend these wipes over original Pampers wipes and Huggies.

I have been deciding between these and Pull-ups. I love the fact that these are so soft and comfortable but I did notice more leaks with these. My son also prefers the Cars picture on the pull-ups rather than Diego.
