This is a cute wetbag that does what it says it will do. Doesn't leak, controls odors unlike plastic bags. We don't even pull the ties closed, just fold the fabric over so teh diapers aren't exposed and unless you stiff it really closely no smells! Never have stained come out of the wash looking the same wash after wash. Highly recommended for those that cloth diaper.the bag is very nice looking and washes well. it also fits in my diaper pail, which is what i needed it to do. i bought this bag specifically for the price. most wet bags are too expensive for my taste. i do think it weird to make a wet bag reversible. the colors don't matter to me because the bag is for the diaper pail. i thought the feature was silly even as i bought it. now that i have the bag in use, i see how truly silly the reversibility is. because the bag is so thick, it is very difficult to pull the drawstring. if i lift the end of the string while the bag is completely full of heavy wet diapers, the drawstring will only pull half way. if i put some effort in, it closes a bit more. i solve the problem by holding the bag closed on the way to the washing machine. the bag does do a good job of containing odors when closed. i would not recommend this particular bag for travel or daycare use. it's good enough with a covered diaper pail, but don't use the bag without one.I needed a new wet bag after the zipper on my old one broke. I loved my old one but I wasn't interested in spending a lot of money since I plan to start potty training my 19 month old soon. I love the size of this bag. I can fit a week's worth of dirty diapers in here. The colors are fun and it washes well. The more I use and wash it though the drawstring is getting harder to use and it is nearly impossible for me to close the bag tightly anymore. But if you have a pail to drop it in, it should be ok. I've never used a pail so that disappointed me. But I haven't had to deal with bad smells yet so I'll just deal. I wonder about the quality though. I'm not sure that this bag would be good to use from birth to potty training. I like the material used but I've noticed after washing several times some stray threads so I wonder about how long it would last but I won't be using it long enough to find it. If I have another child, I definitely would want to purchase a couple more wet bags. I would use this one as a backup. It does the job for the money but I can't rate it above 3 stars.

Playtex Diaper Genie Refill (810 count total - 3 pack of 270 each)

Anyway, my point with the above calculation is that I got about 175 diapers in each refill. Not at all 270. Maybe they packed them airtight but through normal use, I think it's far less than 270. And of course, once she gets into larger size diapers, it will be even fewer.
So what does this mean? Based on current pricing, it means I'm paying another 3.5 cents PER DIAPER for my diaper genie. And that's newborn size. If you are someone sitting there calculating your per-diaper costs, you may not think much about what it costs you to toss it.
Then again, even at 3.5 cents per diaper, you're still talking about maybe 30 cents a day. That's worth it to me. I like my diaper genie a lot and I do find these refills convenient.
But if you tend to look for ways to get that 19 cent diaper instead of 22 cents or whatever, this adds a lot (relatively) to the cost. Might want to try the regular trash bag trick that another reviewer mentioned.

Playtex no longer makes the Diaper Genie II or the Diaper Genie II Elite, therefore they no longer make the refills. They claim these Diaper Genie "Essentials" refills are compatible and yes, the cartridge does fit inside the Diaper Genie II Elite pail. This is, however, where the compatibility stops. The "new" refills are perhaps make of a thicker plastic than the Diaper Genie II Elite refills, which may sound wonderful when you think about odor protection. BUT!! The clamp inside the Diaper Genie II DOES NOT CLOSE all the way with the Diaper Genie "Essentials" refills so there ends up being a faint odor in the room!! Don't be fooled if you are in search of Diaper Genie II or Diaper Genie II Elite refills, this isn't them!Read Best Reviews of Playtex Diaper Genie Refill (810 count total - 3 pack of 270 each) Here
These were a perfect fit for our diaper genie Elite. I don't know what people are talking about that these aren't the same thing because they look exactly the same as the ones that originally came with our diaper genie from Babies R' Us. We had no problems with them fitting and they are far cheaper to purchase on Amazon than they are in our local stores. I will definitely buy them again. Just make sure your buying them for the right Diaper Genie specified and you should have no problems.EXTRA $$$$ Saving HELPFUL TIP: To get the most use out of these I don't use the cutter mechanism on the diaper genie because I was noticing that it wasted too much of the refill. Instead I keep a pair of scissors nearby and cut it when the bag needs changing. These really extends the life of my refills. I am getting a good 3-4 weeks or more out of each refill by doing this.

Yes I do purchase this item and love using it. I do wish it was less expensive and no matter where I shop it is never on sale. This company knows you need it and until a competitor does the job as well as Diaper Genie they have no reason to bring down the price. I finally got smart and only use the Genie for poop diapers. The rest go in the regular trash can.Babymel Amanda Quilted Diaper Bag

Over all a great everyday bag for the mom who wants a bit of style out of her diaper bag!My daughter is almost 5 and I still need to bring her snack, fruit or drink when we go out. I was using Aldo as mommy bag, and because I had used that bag a lot, so the zipper eventually broken after 2 months. Besides, the bag isn't water proof, so my daughter's drink spilled water in my bag a lot.
I finally decided to find better quality, waterproof, affordable, stylish and functional bag. I did a lot of research and finally ordered this bag from Amazon. When I got mine, The bag looks great! The perfect size for me (I am a petite girl, I need some bag not too big, not too small). I carry this bag with me all the time and I get compliments from friends and family. They don't even realize I am using diaper bag until I told them.
Note: The outside 2 SIDE pocket can PUT -My daughter's Thermos. Foogo water Bottle (Length: 7.5 "; Width: 2.5 ")
The bag contains a lot of pockets either inside or outside, (Outside: 5 pockets, Inside: 6 pockets)
it easy for me to manage my stuff and my daughter's snack or drink.
I highly recommended this bag !

My kids are 22 months and 8 monthsand I wish that I had gone with my initial instincts when looking at bags while pregnant with number two. I almost purchased this bag then but decided to go with the Ju Ju Be Packabe. Don't get me wrongthat is a nice bagbut it is huge, heavy, and you definitely could not get away with disguising it as a regular purse. It ended up being relegated to the car trunk, where it still sits waiting with supplies in case of emergency situations like blowouts, stranded with a hungry kid needing a bottle, etc.I just received this bag today and tore into the box in anticipation. The bag presents beautifullyit is a slouchy hobo style purse with a gorgeous quilted jet black print of upside down hearts. It also comes with a little Babymel keychain that is a heart. I normally don't go for heart-type stuff, but it is so cute and fashionable that it is delightful. The inside is a beautiful rockstar pinkbright and easy to find your contents. There are 6 inside pockets, a deep bottom, two front outside pockets that are narrow at the top and wide at bottom so things don't fall out, one insulated bottle pocket that zips so you don't see the bottle (though you either have to have a short 8 oz bottle or a 4 oz. I wasn't able to fit an 8 oz Drop-in with a cap in it) and one long back pocket with a magnetic clasp.
Basically, it holds everything you need. With two under two you can just imagine my bag contents: 4 diapers, wipes, boogie wipes, 2 books, snacks, spare toys, baby food jars, spoons, bibs, formula, table covers, flashcards, my own wallet and personal items, etc etc. Despite this the bag is very light when full, and has a nice heft that makes it easy to wear on one shoulder or cross-body. I love that it attaches to the stroller too. I have a Chicco Together which has a very wide bar, but the straps fit easily. I do use the Ju Ju Be "Be Ju Ju Be Be Set Bags, Dizzy Daisies" to keep the insides organized.
The only complaint I have is that they didn't take the time to apply a shoulder padding to the strapwhich is wide but thin nonetheless. It isn't exactly painful to wear, but it could be more comfortable. I am going to finagle this myself.
Wonderful bag, you can use it as both your purse and your baby bag...you will not be disappointed! This is my 6-7th diaper bag. I now have 2 kids and really like something that can be worn messenger style or on the shoulder. This bag is the right size and the outside looks nice. However, that is where my liking ends. The bag is crinkly and the inside material feels very cheap. I was also expecting insulated bottle pockets on both sides of the bag not true. There is only one pocket. Bummer since I have two kids and thus two sippy cups. Pretty disappointed about this. While I was waiting to receive this bag I was using our spare Diaper Dude bag. I was previously using a skip hop versa bag, and liked it until the lining ripped out. Both of those bags are super functional with lots of zipper pockets. This bag also has lots of pockets but they don't zip closed. The large back pocket has a small magnetic button. Which is ok, but I would have loved 1 or 2 outside zipper pockets especially for my phone to be easily accessible but secure. I didn't realize how much I liked/needed pockets that zip closed until I don't have it. There is a small zipper pocket inside for keys and such which is nice. I would have liked a key hook like the diaper dude has and might just sew one in myself. Overall this a decent bag, but not worth anywhere near the price tag and is missing some key features in my opinion. All throughout my pregnancy, I knew that I wanted to get a diaper bag that was both stylish and functional. I definitely didn't want anything big and clunky with cartoonish-prints all over it...and I also didn't want something so small and designer-like that it would compromise it's use. That said, I started doing a little research on-line, and came across the two front-runners in my diaper bag search: the SkipHop Studio Diaper Bag and the BabyMel Amanda Diaper Bag. Right up until my 7th month, I was completely torn over which of the two I should buy. Then, I finally decided upon the Amanda Bag purely because of its practicality (i.e., the ability to attach it to the handles of a stroller over having to constantly carry it), and I'm certainly glad that I did! My little one is just over a year now, and this bag is still holding strong. It has transitioned well from a baby bag to a toddler bag, with plenty of room for all of the essentials (built-in changing pad, side zipper for sippy cup, accessible outside pockets for mommy-things, etc.). My only gripe is the following: around my son's 9th month or so, the bottom of the velcro on the handle straps began to peal back a bit. Ever since then, I have had to be extremely careful when attaching/removing the bag from our stroller, so as not to damage it any further. This is slightly annoying but we also use that feature of the bag constantly, so it may just be part of normal wear and tear. My other comment would be that this bag may be a bit small for any mommies who are trying to cram multiple kiddos things into it. It works perfectly for us, being that we only have one child so far. Although, I do admit that if we have another, I will probably be forced to upgrade to something bigger. All in all, however, I am very happy with my choice, and would recommend this bag to other expectant mother's of one. If you are the looking for something that can transition well from baby-carry-all to purse then the Amanda Bag is the one for you!

Kirkland Premium Baby Wipes - 600 Count ($0.03/count)

On top of being only 600ct for (at the time that I bought them) $16.99 versus the 900ct for $19.99 in-store price (now they're even more expensive, working out to just over $24 after shipping!) the quality is lower than those found in-store.
These wipes are an ENTIRELY different texture than the ones currently sold in stores by Costco, these were much smoother, with an embossed pattern and slippery main surface to the wipe that made them MUCH less efficient at doing their job: wiping nastiness off a child's bottom, hands, and/or face. I found that instead of being able to use just one or two for my son's "morning diaper," (which is generally the dirtiest in a day) I had to use at LEAST 3-4 of these. To be honest, these reminded me of Huggies brand wipes, which made me nervous to no end since my son had an allergic reaction to Huggies products as a newborn!
The wipes obtainable in stores are textured in a woven manner, and have a slight stretch to them, as well as feeling genuinely like fabric when draped/wrapped over your fingers. These were stiff and took many more swipes to get the same amount of soil off a surface.
Next time I'm feeling "too lazy" to go to Costco, I'll just kick myself in the pants and do it, because the convenience of not having to go to the store for our preferred brand of wipes is NOT worth the decrease in quality! In my opinion, the best baby wipes you can get .Great Price, Great product. Everybody loves in the family. That wipes does not have alcohol. It looks very healthy. They are thick and do not fall apart during use.

These fragrance-free wipes are non-irritating and don't have a strong odor. They are perfect for use at home, or tucked in a purse or suitcase when traveling, and make it easy to clean delicate areas when away from home. They are both strong, so don't tear, and gentle enough for anyone to use.Read Best Reviews of Kirkland Premium Baby Wipes - 600 Count ($0.03/count) Here
