JJ Cole Myla Diaper Bag

JJ Cole Myla Diaper Bag, Boysenberry FleurWell after searching, for literally months, to find the perfect diaper bag--this one caught my eye. I contacted the company to get pictures of the inside, tried to find out about the outer and inner material, looked at a bazillion others, and decided this is the one I wanted to spend way more than I hoped for a nice looking diaper bag, that could potentially last forever for other uses than just a diaper bag. When I got it in the mail, I was so excited I opened it ASAP!! As soon as I pulled it out of the bag, disappointment set in. Yes, it was a beautiful design, and a great size. However, the outer material (though easy to clean) looked and felt like cheap plastic. I thought it would be a textured canvas type, but instead, there would be no mistaking that it was a diaper bag with the plastic-type outer material. I showed it to my husband, without saying what I thought of it, and when I asked him what he thought, he had the same reaction. He thought it was not worth the price. The inner material, I loved, and if the whole thing had that, I would have been much happier. But it did also look a bit bulky and out of place on my hip with its shape. I decided to return it and get, what I thought was, my second choice bag--the brown colored Timi and Leslie Marilyn II bag. It was a bit more expensive, but when I got it, it quickly became my first choice, with not only nice looking out material, but the color had so much texture and brilliance to it, and the inside had way more organizational pockets than I could have anticipated. I was sad that the Myla bag was as pitiful and plain as it was, but was very glad I got it to see how much better I could have it with another bag!

Price was way lower than the $119 store price at buy buy baby and they didn't even have it in real fleur! It is a BEAUTIFUL bag and will work lovely with three children! It's a good size and durable!

This is a fantastic diaper bag! I have it in Honey Lotus, and I actually did a video review on YouTube, so I will post a link to avoid having to go into detail again. I didn't buy it on here... I actually bought it on the JJ Cole Website, but it is the same bag, so I figured I would post the review here for anyone interested in the bag!If the link doesn't work for some reason (I should... but just in case) You can also go to youtube and type in "JJ Cole Myla" to get to the full review.

I love this diaper bag! The design and colors are beautiful, the material is easy to clean, and most importantly, it is very functional! It has plenty of pockets and the strap is comfortable too. I only wish that it were a little larger. I have a hard time fitting everything I need for the day in the bag, but I make it work!

Pampers Splashers

Pampers Splashers Disposable Swim Pants Size 3-4, 24 CountThe Pampers Splashers Size 3-4 Disposable Swim Pants are pretty easy to put on and you just tear the sides to take them off. They are great for any trip to the pool or beach. The purpose of a swim diaper is to hold in solid waste without retaining much liquid. This means that if you leave your 1 year old in a swim diaper for too long, you will have pee all over. The point isn't to have the functionality of a normal diaper, the point is to keep fecal matter out of the pool. While a normal diaper will probably contain most 'insults' even during swimming, they almost instantly balloon to enormous girth as they become saturated with pool water. This makes them uncomfortable for the child and unpleasant to wear outside the pool as your child is going to be soaking wet.

With the Pampers Splashers, my daughter can go in and out of the pool over and over without any fuss or discomfort. If it's going to be a while out of the water, we switch to a normal diaper. At the price amazon sells these Splashers for, you don't have to worry about going through 2 or 3 Splashers for a trip to the beach or pool.

Make sure you wait to put the Splashers on until close to when you are entering the water, or at least don't give your kid much to drink in the meantime. They will hold some liquid, but not a good pee's worth.

The first time my daughter pooped in these they failed. It was our first time in our new wading pool and there was poop in the pool within 10 minutes. Thankfully it was our wading pool and not a public pool. My daughter is in the middle of the weight guidelines, so it doesn't seem like the size should have been an issue.

These swim diapers were on sale and so I got them for a great price. They seem to work just as well as the Huggies Little Swimmers I've used in the past.

My son loves swimming year round and we turn down the hot tub so he can get in it with us during the winter months. the product doesn't leak as long as you have the right size.

I am not sure what this is supposed to do it got soaked with water rather quicker than I thought it would. It's no different at all from what a regular diaper would do in the pool. I don't know if it would hold poop in from the way that it got huge so quickly I am not sure that it would. Anyway, I guess it's at least easy to put on.

Luvs Ultra Clean Wipes 3x Refills 216 Count (Pack of 4)

Luvs Ultra Clean Wipes 3x Refills 216 CountSubscribed to Amazon mom. Cannot beat the price and value of these wipes! Delivered to my front door monthly, save time and money! Two thumbs up!

Just like the commercials say "Live, learn, and then get Luvs". Luvs products are great products that work that as well as the expensive Huggies and Pampers but for 1/2 the price. These wipes are no exception. They are thick and clean very well. It is a very lite scent that does not overpower. We have used these for 3 kids and none have had problems due to sensitivity issues. These are just great products for use multiple ways from diaper changes to have in the car for cleaning stick fingers and faces.

These arn't as thick as Huggies wipes, but they arn't paper thin either. These are more moist then some other brand wipes I've tried. They work, and good for the price.

Didn't really like these at all. Had to use 3 or 4 layered together to get the right "thickness" so I felt like I wouldn't get myself dirty. Got them cheap so it worked out but wouldn't buy again.

These wipes are so slippery, too wet, thin, have a very strong fragrence, and leave a residue on my baby's skin.

Huggies Little Snugglers Diapers

Huggies Little Snugglers Diapers for Newborn, Big Pack, 76 CountWithout any baby experience, I stocked up on 3 different types of NB diapers. A fourth type was given to us by the hospital.

The Huggies Little Snugglers were the brand used by our hospital and we were given a package of 40 when we left the hospital.

I had stocked up on Pampers Swaddlers, Pampers Dry Max and Seventh Generation.

HUGGIES -This was my favorite overall. This one has a good cutout for the umbilical cord. My husband & I also really like the stripe on the outside that changes color when the diaper is soiled. As first-time parents we really liked having this because even though we change our baby at every 3-hour feedings, we like to change him in between if he needs it. Since we don't really know what a soiled diaper should feel like, this little detail made it very easy for us. The only caveat is that this is the only brand that would leave little "crystal"-like substances in the diaper. At first I was alarmed thinking these were from the baby's urine but after a quick google, it seems some diapers can create these. Out of the 4 types we used, only the Huggies left this. The Huggies also held in the poops well. The size seems like it grows with the baby for the first month without any problems.

Seventh Generation Seventh Generation Chlorine Free Baby Diapers, Newborn (Up to 10 Lbs), 40 Count (Pack of 4)-This was my 2nd favorite. Again, there are pros and cons. The pros, besides the fact they are chlorine-free, is they held in the watery poops well. But I don't like that it's difficult to tell when the diaper has been peed in. You can't feel wetness so you kind of have to look at the heaviness in the front. This is a slight pain especially if you're a first timer and aren't sure what a wet diaper feels like. I know this sounds stupid but if a newborn is only outputting one ounce and you want to change the diaper, it's tough to tell. I do like the minor detail that it doesn't have silly characters or designs on the diaper. This fit our long but lean son well for the first month. This does not have an umbilical cord cutout but it didn't ride up high like the Pampers.

Pampers Swaddlers Pampers Swaddlers Dry Max Diapers, Size N, 84 Count-Despite the claim that it has an umbilical cord cutout, I couldn't tell. I still had to sort of fold over the top so it wouldn't rub against it. It has no wetness indicator as I guess like a previous version. It did hold in the poops well. My 3rd favorite.

Pampers Baby Dry Pampers Baby Dry Diapers, Newborn, 124 Count-I didn't like these at all. The fit was much more snug even though my son is slim. This was also the only brand that leaked out poop. When it didn't leak, you can see the yellow through the diaper. This was also the "stiffest" diaper of all the ones we used. This didn't have an umbilical cord cutout either. I also didn't care for the Sesame Street characters on the diaper even though this obviously does not affect the performance of the diapers.

For any other expecting first time parents, I had stocked up on NB size diapers (more than 400 when you son was born at 8lbs+. We also went through multiple diapers at each diaper changing session because as we would go to close the diaper, the baby would either pee or poo so we would start all over again. This would happen as many as 4 or 5 times. Yes, that means going through 5 or 6 new diapers at one session because small amounts would soil the diaper. If I had it to do again, I would order one case at a time since the Amazon Mom/Prime shipping gets the diapers to your door in 2 days. You might also save money by buying a smaller package at a brick and mortar store as your baby grows out of a size instead of having a huge case of leftovers.

We have tried EVERYTHING! These are the best and are definitely worth the extra money. Our daughter got diaper rash with Luvs and Pampers but as soon as we switched to these, no more diaper rash! We have yet to have any leaks (3 months, going strong) and they seem to be much more plush than any other diaper brand. As a side note, the Huggies Snug and Dry are just as good, not as soft. When on sale, the premiums are actually cheaper than snug and dry. So keep your eyes open!

I have a 13lb little man and NEVER once leaked poopy or pee with these. He sleeps 8-10 hours straight through the night and there aren't any leaks in the morning-EVER. Also there isn't any gel left behind on him, either, he wakes up dry and happy. He leaks in Pampers sometimes, and although Luvs don't leak, they don't hold as much, so it seems, and they feel really cheap.

This is my fifth child and so I know a little about diapers. I've used Huggies exclusively for the last 4 children. I just found them to work the best. (And one child actually had an allergy to all BUT Huggies!) So, with that said...

I always wondered what the difference was between Snug N Dry which is what I usually bough and Little Snugglers. Now I know. Little Snugglers doesn't hold much of anything. After only 2 hours of my baby wearing the diaper, the inside beads begin to form on his skin. This usually indicates that the diaper is full. And indeed, if I wait any long to change it, there WILL be an overflow problem. DO NOT use these diapers for more than three hours at a time, unless you happen to LIKE doing laundry! I do not. So, back to Snug N Dry I go!

I did use more than one size and box of each size to make sure it wasn't just that he needed the next size up.

I also found that they ran a fair bit smaller than Snug N Dry.

I bought these diapers before the baby arrived because I love that they have the cut-out for the umbilical cord. He was just under 7 pounds when we brought him home and we were going through a couple outfits a day because he was blowing out the back sides of the diaper with almost every bowel movement. A family member had made us a diaper cake as a gift and she used Pampers size 1's. I thought they were going to be too big, but that first week home we started using them (with the front folded down under his belly button) and we haven't gone back to Huggies since.
