The Diaper One N Done

The Diaper One N DoneThe Diaper One N Done may lack the sexiness of some of its larger disposal peers, but what it lacks in looks, it makes up for in ingenuity. The bin was created for those who like their home to smell free of soiled diapers and are tired of the complexities of trying to empty other larger disposal systems. And it is perfect for your typical New York City apartment.

We got this little guy right before the holidays and spent some time testing its features so we could share it with you. The unit will stand on its own or features these great hooks on the back so it can hang off the changing table. As you are changing your kiddo, you can toss the soiled diaper, wipes, etc. all into the bin without having these items set about where a small hand could potentially grab. When you are finished with the change, simply pull the bag up, seal it with a knot, and detach the bag from the next bag (sort of like a grocery produce bag). Voila!

Overall, I'm satisfied with the product and its concept. I expressed to the very gracious creator of the product, I'd love it to be, well, a little more aesthetically pleasing and then noticed they had created some cute designs for the pails, and left the white one to be customizable. I got the itch to be crafty, so I went and picked up a couple of scrapbook papers that had designs I liked and some double sided tape. I had originally wanted to use contact paper but couldn't find any designs I was crazy about. My only other feedback was that I'd really love it if scented bags were available as well. The current bags are clear and come in rolls of 50. And they are currently having a special deal through the end of January buy 3 and get the 4th free!

After using the diaper champ for about a year no amount of air freshener could keep the smell out of it. The Diaper one n done will never smell because it doesn't house dirty diapers for long periods of time. You change the diaper, put it in the bag, tie it off and throw it in the regular trash. The one n done is ready to use again, clean and smell free. It's mobile and has a small footprint so it doesn't take up a lot of space. great product. 5 stars!

It's a simple and smart system that offers convenience; AND you'll never smell the poop, because you can either dispose of each diaper as they come OR you can add it to the pile in your old system. But this time it's tied up in a plastic bag, hence a lot less smelly, if at all. To boot, it's cute and adds to the decor of both my daughters' rooms I have 2.

I shopped around quite a bit for some diaper disposal systems for our church's nursery and "cry room," so I needed two units. And since the church is not cleaned until the next Friday, I didn't want diaper pails filling up over several weeks (can you imagine THAT smell?). Not only is the Diaper One N Done less costly than many other systems, I believe it does its job even better. The unit is small (about 12 inches tall, with the bucket being about 8 inches tall with a 6 inch diameter top), but that's by design. It is made to accommodate one diaper at a time. After loading the roll of bags (which goes in the tube under the basket), pulling up the bags though a hole in the bottom of the bucket, and placing the bag over the can, a process that takes about 30 seconds including reading the instructions, you're ready to hang it off the changing table and start using it. You simply place the used diaper, wipes, etc. in the bag, pull the bag up and separate it from the next bag, tie off the full bag and throw it in the regular trash. Set the next bag and you're done. It's a two-handed process, but it's easy and since you can hang the unit off the changing table rails, it's right beside you so you don't have to take your eyes off baby. Tying off the bag to seal in the odor is about 99% effective (some diaper stench refuses to be contained no matter what!), but even the worst ones are hardly noticeable unless you leave it in the trash for a few days.

Overall, this is an easy system to set up and use, there are no moving parts, the bags are pretty inexpensive, and we've been very pleased with it. It does exactly what we hoped it would: contain stinky diapers and be easy to use.

I received this product as a gift before my second child was born. At first I didn't think I'd need it, since I already have a Diaper Genie II from when my first was a baby. But now I find that I like the One N Done better! I like that it attaches to the dresser/changing table so that it's in a really convenient, space-saving location. It's also nice that if I end up needing to use another wipe after I've thrown away the diaper I can still put it in there with no problem (for those who have Diaper Genies, you might know what I'm talking about). My husband and I have debated whether or not it should have a lid... personally I'm kind of glad it doesn't have one, because that makes it easier to use. Overall, this is a great product that solves problems the other companies have failed to address!
