Nuby Milk Powder Dispenser

Nuby Milk Powder Dispenser, Colors May VaryWhile others (including my husband) complain about how tight these tops are, I prefer them. I never have to worry about them opening in my messy diaper bag. With the right touch, they are not hard to open, but appropriately tight to avoid messes.

With my first daughter, I had tried a different brand. After the first day in the diaper bag, I had 4 feedings worth of formula all over EVERYTHING in the bag because it didn't seal tightly. I went with the 4-oz travel "tubes" of formula, which aren't exactly cost-effective unless your baby is eating 4 oz or 8 oz at a time.

Right before my second daughter was born, my mom found several gently-used baby items at a garage sale, one of which was this dispenser. I was skeptical after my experience with the other dispenser, but after trying to take the whole lid off I realized just how hard it was to open. This is a good thing! It keeps it from spilling in my bag and keeps my toddler from opening it. The spout cap is easier to open than the whole lid, but is still snug enough to stay closed. If you try to take the whole lid off while there's powder in it, you do have to be careful, but I don't find myself doing that a lot. Usually, I open it when it's empty, fill it up, and use what's in it before I open it again. I haven't had any issues with powder leaking over into other compartments, but I've always twisted it to the middle of each compartment. If you look at how it's made, the lid/spout is curved, so if you don't get it mostly centered, yes it's going to spill over. However, because of the tight fit, if you center it, it doesn't move/twist from movement in the diaper bag. The seal is worth the split second of effort, imho.

I have been using mine for 2 months now (and that's after getting it secondhand) and it's worked great for me. With daycare and overnight trips to grandma's house in the near future, I will be buying a couple more of these.

Completely secure dispenser. Does not come open or spill formula all over my diaper bag like other dispensers. Highly recommended.

I have tried several formula dispensers, only to be disappointed by the spillage that occurs between compartments! The Nuby has very minimal shifting of formula! It's a must have for traveling!!

We don't use these for formula, but we used them to portion rice cereal to add to my son's milk for a few weeks to try and help his reflux. That didn't work, but we tried a few brands of dispensers and these are my favorite. Most of the portion comes out easier, whereas with the Munchkin brand about half a teaspoon to a teaspoon stays in the container. The little lid doesn't snap back like the Munckin ones, but I hold it back when pouring so it doesn't get in the way. The lid rotates easily so you don't have to take the lid off and move it to the next section. These are easy to clean, easy to use, and seem to be well made. We'll be using these for snacks in the future-great for keeping a variety of snacks in one container!

Weleda Children's Tooth Gel, 1.7 oz

Weleda Children's Tooth Gel, 1.7 ozI purchased this tooth gel when my son was about a year old. I choose it because it doesn't have the sweetener sorbitol in it. We have found that all members of our family are sensitive to sorbitol (it causes bloating and diarrhea) and couldn't find an oral care product that didn't have it until this one.

My son, who is now 2, loves the tooth gel. He likes to suck it off his toothbrush, so we work quickly to get his teeth brushed. A little bit goes a long way. It does a good job cleaning and it leaves his breath minty fresh. A definite plus in a toddler!

There's no worry of him swallowing too much, or of overdosing on fluoride because there isn't any. Because it tastes so good, it encourages him to learn to brush his teeth. It also makes a good stand in for adults if you don't have your own toothpaste on hand.

Great toothpaste for kids with a nice minty scent. The only issue is I wish it had a flip top instead of the kind that unscrews its very hard to manage a baby while putting the cap on and off. Other than that its great.

When I started brushing my little one's teeth, I bought the "training toothpaste" from a famous company. Little did I know that the toothpaste of a child would be filled with parabens and other harmful chemicals. A child's toothpaste!! I was so incredulous that the big companies care so little about the future generation and their health. So after doing some research I found Welada children's toothgel. Its wonderful as it lacks the sulphates, sorbitol, parabens, flouride.

Thank you Welada for making a product I can use without compunction.

We love this tooth gel! My little girl likes the flavor and I feel good about it because it's not that sweet bubblegum flavored crap. Doesn't make any sense to me to use that. I'd rather her love the flavor of something fresh and clean tasting when it comes to brushing her teeth. This does the job, tastes great, it's natural and non animal tested.

I did tons of research to find a good toothpaste for my 10 month old when she had two teeth and I wanted to start getting her used to brushing them. We ended up with a banana teether toothbrush which is another great product, but I wanted to have something to help clean the teeth. I found this and was relieved that it didnt have all of those ingredients that I couldn't pronounce or figure out what they were that the other children's toothpastes have. It just takes a tiny amount of this gel on her brush and the tube will last me a very long time, we haven't even made a dent it it hardly and we have been using it nearly every night for the past 4-5 months now. And it must taste pretty good because my daughter gets really excited when I get it out of the cupboard and she mostly sucks it right off the brush if I just hand it to her without helping her.

Fisher-Price Playtime Bouncer

Fisher-Price Playtime Bouncer, Luv U ZooOverall I am thoroughly happy with this bouncer. It has come in handy and is super light. I take it with me from room to room. It provides a safe place for my baby to sit while I shower, do dishes, or other tasks in which I need my hands free. The strap fits my baby perfectly and feel perfectly content that he is sitting safely. For our baby, who has suffered from acid reflux, the incline position is perfect as it allows him to sit up enough to keep the acid down and not choke on spit up, yet it is not too upright. Our baby likes the toys, music, and especially loves the vibration. While the seat is not padded, it is comfortable enough for our little one. It can be removed to be washed if needed or wiped clean. Initial set up was quick and easy.

A few complaints I have about this bouncer is the duration of the music. Once pulled, it plays a short tune that lasts just a few seconds. For my child who is still very young and cannot pull it on his own yet, I wish there was an option to continue playing the tunes for a longer amount of time as he enjoys listening to it, but I have to constantly keep pulling. Also, there are only two songs, so you may grow quite tired of hearing them. My other complaint is the vibrator has suddenly started becoming a little loud. In the beginning it was silent, but now you can hear the motor humming rather loudly. Neither of these are deal breakers, just a couple minor flaws. I would purchase this bouncer again.

Overall very satisfied with this bouncer. The pattern is bright like kids like but not overwhelming like may childrens items tend to be. This can be out without being an eyesore. My child loves to sit in it and it was useful as way to get him to settle down at night without me constantly having to hold and sway with him. The only drawback I found with this bouncer is that my son didn't seem to be too interested in the plastic toys that hung closer to his hands. He is 3 months now and when he hits the toys it upsets him more than interests hims. I actually propped the overhang up so that his legs can kick the hanging toys which he highly enjoys. I wish the overhang was adjustable so that he could kick the toys with his legs when he was in the bouncer. I think then this toy would have been a perfect 10...

The chair itself is very sturdy and perfect incline for what I was looking for. My only complaint is the music is not very loud, not even a little bit close to being long enough and that there is not an off on button for music. My baby likes music but this chair plays for only 5 seconds at a time and then you have to pull the toy again. And as long as a baby is strapped in, they cannot kick themselves up to the top and out of the chair.

I can`t say much about it but my baby would if he could. He just loves it and the best thing about it is the possibility of rocking him along with the calming vibrations. The cover can be washed and it makes it simple in case of wet accidents which are common in the beginning.

My 5 month old has loved this bouncer since she was 3 months old. She didn't care for it before that. She can make the music play by either pushing up on the koala with her foot or pulling down on the leaf with her hand. The monkey rattles. She kicks her feet to make the chair bounce. I like that I can carry her in it from room to room and set her down where ever I'm working. It has a nice wide-based stance for stability. Some feel this is a trip hazard. I have stubbed my toe but in general I avoid the trip hazard by keeping the bouncer out of the walkway and prefer the wide base because my daughter bounces very vigorously and she has never flipped the bouncer over. The two musical tunes are very upbeat and are more likely to envigorate your child rather than soothe her to sleep. If you want your child to sleep in this chair, I recommend removing the play bar. The two animal sounds are a bird chirping and a monkey. They play for 3-5 seconds. The music plays for 20 seconds. I prefer that the sounds are short acting, so that my daughter doesn't become desensitized to them and she has to continue working for what she wants. This keeps her occupied longer. The cloth cover is removable and can be washed in the washing machine for easy clean up. The recline is just right for my acid reflux baby. It travels easily. Make sure you buckle in your child. The features my daughter and I love in this chair (the deep seat and bounciness) can make it hazardous if you do not use the safety features provided. She has on occasion pushed herself to the upper edge of the chair when not buckled in. She didn't topple over the chair which speaks to its stability, but I still keep her buckled in because I'm not interested in finding out if she can fall out of the chair. This is a great item. Just be careful that your baby still gets the floor time she needs. This chair is so comfy and fun that sometimes I forget to make sure she gets her tummy time, too.
